Treatment of Fabrics with Fire Retardants and the Usages
Fabrics or textiles are used in various forms and for diverse purposes. There are a number of varieties in the usage of the fabrics. Some specific areas require special types of textile materials. For example, the water-resistant fabrics are required for creating the raincoats or the umbrellas where the water absorbency of the fabric must be absent. Similarly, in many cases, the fire retardant materials of textiles are required. Based on the area where the fabrics are used, the type of the base fabric is chosen. Usually, there is some chemical, which is used for making the base textile to be flame retardant. The synthetic, natural and regenerated fibres are used for treating then fire resistant chemicals.
